The Senior Caucus hosts a book group monthly on the third Monday at 11:00a, using Zoom technology. Everyone is invited to join the discussion.

As Minnesota’s first woman lieutenant governor, serving with Gov. Rudy Perpich, Marlene Johnson broke political ground and learned to navigate the patriarchal traditions embedded in the legislature, where she built on a long history of activism and involvement. She met her husband the same year and enjoyed a deeply loving 27-year relationship. We focus on books of a political, historical, or scientific nature that pertain to understanding our current political climate. The authors are recognized experts in their fields (politics, journalism, history, science). Occasionally we read a book of fiction.
